Daisy
|Daisy passed away 13th September 2013
Daisy, was our first greyhound, first dog and this is the first time we have had to make that horrible decision.
We are feeling more positive about things now; putting Friday and the weeks that led up to it behind us and focussing on the wonderful nine years we had with her. If it hadn’t been for Daisy we would not have Lottie, Fosse or Bruce, would never have heard of FBGS or moved to Lincolnshire – owning her really did change our lives!
When we first looked at rescuing a dog, we were inclined towards a small, hairy Heinz 57 sort of thing and our initial reaction to the suggestion that we adopt a greyhound was not one of enthusiasm – we thought they were skinny shivery things! How wrong we were and how lucky we were to end up with Daisy.
It has been our privilege to have that naughty, fearless, little girl in our lives and attach a photograph of her as we would like to remember her.
Best regards
Pauline & Tim Underhill
PS The vet, Nigel Turner of Elwood, Briggs & Turner was fantastic. He talked us through everything, told us what to expect and was so caring and supportive – can’t say enough good things about him.
