Fen Bank Open Day and Grand Opening

Fen Bank are proud to report the huge success of the Open Day and Grand Opening of the new kennel block today (Sunday 27th October).

The weather was glorious and a quick headcount suggests about 75 visitors attended.

One of the guests was the wonderful actress Jaye Griffiths, star of many a television and theatre drama and who agreed to attend and open the new kennels for us. After cutting the ribbon Jaye then presented our kennels manager, Mick, with a thank you card and gift from everyone at Fen Bank as a thank you for all his hard work in making the kennels rebuild so successful. Fen Bank are indebted to Jaye for giving up her day and travelling up to see us and helping make it such a great event.

We were also delighted to welcome to the open day one of our patrons, Dorin Boyce who was visiting UK from her home in Barbados and found time to visit us before returning home in the next few days. Thank you, Dorin. It was lovely to see you again.

All the resident hounds were very well behave, and so relaxed in their new home that the presence of so many people hardly bothered them. They absolutely loved all the attention.

The main benefit of the day for us was that one dog was rehomed and four more were reserved, and that is what Fen Bank is all about.
