Brindle block repairs

The outer wall cladding on Brindle Block at the kennels has suffered over the last few months due to bad weather and damp had started to get in.

A grant of £1500 had been very kindly made to Fen Bank by The Paw Print Fund (www.pawprint.fund) who raise funds for animal welfare charities just like ours and it was decided that the money would be used towards repairs to the fast deteriorating cladding. The grant plus money that was very generously given to Fen Bank in the will of one of our wonderful supporters, the late Christine Mason, meant we could afford to have the repairs done.

The work was carried out just a couple of weeks ago and the block is now back in excellent condition again, nice and dry and also much warmer with the better insulating properties of the new cladding. This means we will save on the heating bill and still keep the hounds lovely and cosy in the forthcoming winter.

Mick and Claire give the new cladding the thumbs up.
