Nemo

HOMED

Born: 1st January 2007

A striking black boy, the grey peppering round his muzzle and eyes add to his good looks. This well-mannered boy has had many kennel partners and has watched patiently as each one has walked away to their forever home. It is high time he walked away to his own.

Volunteers view from Amy: Nemo got straight into the back of my car with no problems and made himself at home! He was completely horizontal to the walk and back! Nemo pulled a little bit coming out of the kennels and was a little bit strong but he was a completely different dog when out on the walk. Once the lead was wrapped round his chest he walked fantastically and was a pleasure to take out. When he walked he had got a beautiful walk, almost like a steady prance, like you see show dogs walking round! Nemo didn’t know his name and would need some time spending training him.

In town, we saw the same yappy terriers we had seen before on our earlier walks and also a cat. Nemo did get a little bit excitable/ was keen to check them out, he did pull a little bit on the lead and needed a firm hand, however when we made our way back past the small dogs for the second time giving Nemo a firm ‘no’ he was much better. Equally when we saw another cat, he didn’t lunge at it and with some guidance he was less interested. I think that this indicates in time he would calm down, he has probably not seen any before.

On the way back he was completely flat out again, it was so adorable!
